Year 6 Transport for London Safety and Citizenship presentation
On Thursday 4th February Transport for London visited Year 6 to educate Montpelier students about personal safety, respect, responsibility and awareness both on and around public transport. It covered the different forms of public transport and addressed all key aspects of the KS2 Citizenship curriculum. The presentation informed, challenged and reinforced the knowledge of our Year 6 students as they become increasingly independent. The presentation was delivered in an interactive way by TfL's School Liaison Officer with a lively presentation featuring fast moving video clips, photos and a fun and informative discussion at the end.
The first half of this half term draws to a close after yet another busy period for the school. We have finished showing around a large number of parents (nearly 200) , who are interested in a Reception place, whilst also helping children in Year 6 prepare for the final few months of their time here. This newsletter will give you a flavour of what has been happening in school but there is also a great deal of information on our Twitter account https://twitter.com/montpelier_sch that I hope you are able to access. Please do ensure you look regularly at www.iMontpelier.com as this will give specific information about the curriculum and learning related to your own child. Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable half term break.
