School uniform in cold weather

During this period of cold weather, please do ensure that your child comes to school with a warm coat (clearly labelled).

In regard to footwear, please note the following;

Nursery, Reception & Year 1

Children may wear boots to school but should bring shoes to change into during the daytime. This is particularly important as it is difficult for young children to sit comfortably with their legs crossed,  wearing  boots, when  on  the carpet.

Year 2-6

Children may wear boots to school but should change into their shoes during the daytime. Boots should preferably be ankle height and, as a maximum, not above the calf. Children must not wear boots above the knee. Please note that only cold weather / snow boots are acceptable. If the school deems that boots are being worn for "fashion purposes" we will request that they are removed at the first reasonable opportunity.

Once the weather improves all children should resume wearing their normal school uniform.
