Thank you to the vast majority of parents who are helping us to keep the start of the school day safe by not parking on zig zags or double yellow lines, nor performing dangerous U – turns. We do still have a problem with parents stopping on the corner of St Peter’s Way opposite the junior entrance on Montpelier Road. Their parking causes delays further along Montpelier Road and therefore the view of the zebra crossing is blocked as children cross the road. The next item will hopefully be of use to parents who live up to 15 minutes’ walk away from the school.
In this edition of the newsletter we welcome and congratulate our new members of the school council. We have included some helpful reminders, particularly for parents who have joined us this term and included some important safety reminders. After a few weeks of focusing upon parking safety I’m delighted to confirm that the situation has improved considerably although our no tolerance approach remains in place. Punctuality has improved in the juniors and this means that school day starts on time for increasing numbers of children. Finally, a reminder that our Twitter account provides some great updates of school life and we do recommend that you take the opportunity to view it whenever you can. https://twitter.com/Montpelier_Sch
