A New School Entrance

This week work starts on the rebuilding and extension of the visitors' entrance. We have decided to embark upon this long overdue work now and are aiming to complete the work by the Easter break. The new entrance will bring many benefits to the school:

  • children can be kept separate from visitors throughout the school day
  • the visitor experience will be more comfortable (and warmer!)
  • parents and carers will be able to talk more easily to the reception desk staff rather than through the existing hatch
  • there will be better heat retention in the foyer area of the building during poor weather
  • the working area will be more comfortable for those working at the reception desk
  • buggies can be more easily brought to the reception desk without causing congestion

February sees the remodelling of the entrance to our school creating an area that is more comfortable for parents and visitors, and more secure for children and staff. We have been meeting parents in the crucial run up to tests in May and continue planning a revitalised curriculum for the new academic year.
