A Happy New Year to our children, families and staff!

We start the calendar year in the midst of an exciting academic one. Last term finished with some exceptional children's performances - six in total - attended by hundreds of parents and family members. The enthusiastic turn out for each show demonstrated the level of support that Montpelier enjoys.

Retirement of Mrs Field

After 20 years of excellent service to Montpelier, our highly valued Nursery teacher, Mrs Jackie Field, will be retiring this term.

Last week KS1 and EYFS took part in a fantastic drama work shop led by 'Perform.' The Wild West theme captured the children's imagination and we are looking forward to producing some writing on the same idea.

This term, our older children will continue to focus upon making strong progress and, in the case of year 6, ensuring their confidence in learning is as high as possible as part of their preparation for high school.

Nuisance Parking

Periodically I check the traffic flow on Mount Avenue and Montpelier Road. Recently, we have requested the zebra crossing on Montpelier Road be repainted and have seen the installation of new features on Mount Avenue - the most recent being posts on the corner of Brentham Way in order to prevent dangerous U - turns.

A New Entrance For The School

Over the course of the year we teach over 800 children and communicate with parents and carers accordingly. As an outstanding school Montpelier increasingly works with other schools by running training, conferences and liaising with a range of professionals.

Visit Consent Forms

One of the many wonderful aspects of life at Montpelier is the access our children have to a terrific range of trips and events. Until now, we have sought permission for every single trip and, in the course of a year, this can mean handling over 2400 reply slips as a minimum.
